Licence terms
What you are buying when you license a plugin from AX Plugins: one site, one year, updates and email support while it is current.
Last updated 9 September 2026.
The short version
- A licence covers one WordPress installation and lasts one year.
- It is not transferable to another party, and it is not resold.
- While it is current you get updates and support by email.
- If it is not renewed, the plugin keeps working. It stops receiving updates and support.
- Prices on this site are per site, per year, and exclude VAT.
- Plugins listed as Free are not licensed under these terms at all — they are under the GPL, and nothing below applies to them.
The sections below are the full terms. If anything here conflicts with a written agreement you already have with WP Care Limited, that agreement takes precedence.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you (the person or company that licenses the plugin, “you”) and WP Care Limited, a company registered in Ireland at Northside Enterprise Centre, Bunratty Drive, Coolock, Dublin 13, Ireland, trading as AX Plugins (“we”). They apply to every plugin on this site that carries a price.
They do not apply to the plugins listed as Free. Those are distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, and that licence — which grants you the right to use, study, change and redistribute them, and disclaims warranty — is the whole of the arrangement. There is no fee, no renewal and no support commitment attached to a free plugin.
2. What you are licensed to do
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use one copy of the plugin on the one WordPress installation the licence was bought for, for as long as the licence is current. A separate licence is needed for each additional site, including a second live site belonging to you.
You may keep and use copies of the plugin for backup, staging, development and testing of that same site without a further licence. That is normal practice and we expect it.
3. What you may not do
- Distribute, resell, sublicense or publish the plugin, or install it on a site the licence was not bought for.
- Remove or alter the plugin’s author information, licence notices or version number.
- Present the plugin as your own product.
You may modify the plugin’s code for use on your own licensed site. If you do, we cannot support the modified copy and a later update will overwrite your changes. Tell us what you needed instead — more often than not it becomes a setting.
4. Term, renewal and price
A licence runs for twelve months from the date it is first invoiced, and renews annually on the invoice that carries the rest of what we do for your site. It is billed as its own line, at the price published on this site at the time of renewal.
We may change a published price. A change applies from your next renewal, never mid-term, and we will tell you before that invoice is issued. Prices exclude VAT, which is charged where it applies.
5. Cancelling and what happens next
You can decide not to renew at any time before the renewal invoice is issued; tell your usual contact or write to [email protected]. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
When a licence is not renewed, the plugin keeps working exactly as installed. It is not disabled, it does not phone home, and there is no licence key to expire. What stops is our side of the arrangement: no further updates, no compatibility work, and no support. In time an unmaintained plugin will fall behind a new version of WordPress, PHP or whatever it connects to, and it may then stop working or become a security risk. Keeping it current is what the renewal pays for.
6. What support means
While a licence is current, support means answering questions by email about the plugin itself, investigating and fixing a defect in it, and telling you what the plugin sent to an outside system and what came back. Support is provided by email in English during Irish business hours. We do not commit to a response time on this page; where your WP Care plan states one, that applies.
Support does not include work on the rest of your site, changing what the plugin does, building a new feature, configuring or fixing a third party’s service, or recovering data lost by something other than the plugin. Those are quoted separately as work.
7. Updates
Updates are prepared by us and installed on your site as part of its regular update run. There is no licence key to enter and nothing to click in wp-admin. We do not promise a release schedule: a plugin is updated when there is something to fix or something to keep up with.
8. Third-party systems
Some plugins connect a WordPress site to a system we do not control — a CRM, for example. What that system does with what it receives, whether it is available, and whether it changes its interface, are outside our control. We keep our plugins working against those systems as they change, and each plugin logs what it sent and what came back so a problem can be traced. We are not responsible for the outside system’s own behaviour or downtime.
Where a plugin depends on another commercial plugin — the requirements on each product page say which — you need your own current licence for that plugin. Ours does not include it.
9. Your data
A plugin runs on your own site and moves your own data. We do not receive a copy of it and this site does not process it. If we need to look at your site to investigate a problem we do so under your WP Care arrangement. How this website handles data is set out on the privacy page.
10. Warranty and liability
We take reasonable care to make each plugin do what its product page says, and if it does not, we will fix it or refund the current year’s licence fee. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the plugins are provided without further warranty: we do not warrant that a plugin is free of every defect or that it will suit a purpose its page does not describe.
Our total liability in connection with a plugin, in any twelve-month period, is limited to the licence fees you paid us for that plugin in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or revenue, or for lost or corrupted data, except where the loss was caused by our own negligence in a way the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Each plugin logs what it does, and your existing form entries and email notifications are unaffected by it — so a failed push is recoverable from your own records. We recommend keeping those notifications switched on.
11. Ending a licence for a reason
We may end a licence if these terms are seriously breached — for example if the plugin is redistributed — and we will say why in writing first. We may also stop selling or maintaining a plugin. If we retire one, we will tell licence holders, we will not renew it again, and we will refund the unused part of a licence paid for a period we no longer intend to cover.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer rather than a business, this does not affect rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A change applies to your licence from its next renewal, and the date at the top of this page tells you when the current version was published.
