What it does

WordPress shows an editor everything it shows an administrator's developer: update notices they cannot act on, adverts for plugins they will never buy, settings screens that will break the site if touched. This plugin removes that. Admin menus and submenus are hidden per role, plugin upsell and review nags are suppressed, the dashboard widgets nobody reads are switched off, and comments can be turned off site-wide where the site does not use them.

Nothing is hidden from an administrator, and nothing is enforced at the permission level — it changes what the admin screens show, not what a user is capable of. Which menus are hidden for which role is set up for you at install.

What the licence covers

  • Updates to the plugin for as long as the licence is current, installed for you as part of your regular update run.
  • Compatibility work as WordPress and PHP change, and as plugins add new menus and notices.
  • Support by email from the people who wrote it.

What it does not do

  • It is not a security plugin. Hiding a menu is not the same as revoking a capability: a user who knows the URL can still reach a screen their role permits. If a role should not be able to do something, the role is what needs changing.
  • Version 1.0 has no settings screen. Which menus are hidden for which role is configured in code at install time.
  • It does not rebrand the login screen or replace the WordPress logo, and it does not hide the fact that the site runs WordPress.

Buying a licence

Licences are sold per site, per year, at the price on this page. We set up and configure every one ourselves rather than handing over a zip and a licence key — so buying one starts with a message. If we already look after your site, ask your usual contact; otherwise write to [email protected].

It is billed as its own line at the price on this page — an annual licence for one site, listed separately and never folded into your plan fee. It renews once a year until you say otherwise.
